Good salad

First place I ever had cowboy pickles and love them! Sandwiches are really good but a little pricey. We only go when there are specials. I suggest the Buckin bronco beef. Staff always seems upset. 4 stars for price and customer service.

Always good food. Have gluten free bread. My step daughter likes to eat here when she's in town, because she has celiac, and there are not a lot of gluten free restaurants in town. They take care to prepare this in a different location, if it is an allergie, so they do not cross contaminate.

Had a sandwich... it was okay. Would eat there again, but Jimmy Johns is better for sandwiches.... personal preference. I'll go back to try the salads.

We were recommended this place by an uber driver, he said the food was flavorful and had more vegetarian options than the italian place we were going to originally. We both ended up feeling very sick after eating, and one of us actually vomitted once we got back on base. The service was alright, the place was clean, and the food was decent though. We wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I am not one to give bad reviews, and let me preface this by saying: the staff were courteous, quick, and were super nice to give me a cup for water for my dog! However, I got the Hippie Chick P on GF bread, chips, a drink, and a rice krispy treat and was thoroughly displeased. I paid $15. The GF bread was crumbly which is to be expected, but so much so that the entire sandwich crumbled into a pile of mush, and it tasted hella stale. The rice krispy treat was SO stale that I ended up trashing it entirely. I’m not angry and I won’t be asking for my money back (especially since I got on the road to San Antonio immediately after getting my order), but 1) I hope I don’t get sick and 2) please let this be a lesson — do some quality testing and rotate stock!!!!

My absolute favorite place to eat out in Angelo. Try the BBQ bacon Mo, you won't regret it.

I love coming to this place. You can customize your salads and add as many toppings as you want without the price growing $10+. And they have a reward system and a free cookie every Wednesday!

The hours still say 9 online I would imagaine they changed that to 8? I usually don’t write reviews but I must today. The man at the front, couldn’t get his name(taller bigger guy), was trash talking a lady after she left, who walked in complaining about them not wanting to make a salad due to them about to close. I wanted a salad as well they didn’t give me the option to dine in, I was forced to do take out. I work in customer service as well and that is NOT how we do things WHAT SO EVER. I loved salads here but Smiling moose you just lost a customer. More like frowing Moose because I didn’t get my salad haha.

Pretty good alternative to McAlister's. Took me a while to find my sandwich, but worth it and the fresh salads are great too.

This ain't fast food, its great food quickly. Like J McL said, I'm surprised at any negative reviews. Awesome food, great staff. They didn't have any white baguettes, so I tried the wheat, something I would never do, but glad I did. I hate wheat bread because it tastes like a mouthful of hippie, but this baguette was something else. Great hot chicken sandwhich and made-to-order salad! Put down the burger and fries and give them a try!

Loved Buffalo Bleu and Mile High Thai wraps! Service was excellent as well.

I love going for the tomato basil, it's usually a 5 star, today gets only 4... disappointed me today Moose. However, their salads and sandwiches are always amazing!

This just became my favorite quick bite in San Angelo. Fast, filling, and delicious, I was pleased by the unique menu and trendy atmosphere. I can't overstate how good the sandwich was. Seeing some negative reviews on this place shocked me; my experience couldn't have been better. Give em a try!

Went here the other day for lunch. Was a good sammich. Had the Southwest mighty Mo, bag of chips, and med drink for $11 something. Was good. Ground beef was unexpected to be in the sammiches, turned out to be quite good as I ate it all. Store was pretty clean and staff was excellent. Restroom was weird tho. Paper towel dispenser was halfway over the sink and the single use restroom had plenty of room. Maybe the extra room could have a baby changing station installed.

If you aren’t having breakfast at Smiling Moose you are missing out!! They have amazing coffee.(don’t waste your time across the street at Starbucks)

Southwest Mo everytime!

I ordered online and it was suppose to be ready by 5:27pm. I show up at 5:30 and it wasn't even made/cooked yet. Other reviews talk about "made to order" and "fresh" and I get that, but the purpose of online ordering is skipping the line and having your food ready when you get there. I got my food at 5:45.My sandwich, Boca Bacon BBQ, had such little stuff on it. It had Boca, cowboy pickles, banana peppers, and a tiny bit of BBQ sauce. I ordered way more things on my sandwich and did not get it on there. It didn't even come with the toppings it's suppose to come with.The girl working the register was sweeping the floor with gloves on, stopped to set the broom down, and wrapped up my sandwiches with the same gloves on. So nasty! Definitely prefer Which Wich over this place!!!!

I find myself once again in San Angelo and like always look to try something new. This time I visited Smiling Moose. I love salads however I'm very particular about freshness. This place was great, food is good, fresh and is prepared to order. I do have to say that the place itself is a little dirty, staff is friendly and service is fast.

Had to update this from a 5 to a 1, because I had 2 bad experiences within a week. Tuesday, we ordered online, but the food was never made. The girl cooking the food was apologetic and had it ready 10 later. We tried again today, because no restaurant is perfect. What a waste! The food wasn't ready, again, but they received my order. The gentleman working the front said they got swamped when I ordered... yet there were only 3 people in the restaurant. Two were already eating. 15 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready, I had my food, 2 sandwiches and a salad. My sandwich was completely wrong and they didn't even include silverware for the salad. We'll stop wasting our money and start going to McAllisters. Never coming here again.

I order the exact same thing every time, and have never gotten what I ordered. There sizing is confusing standard, mini or some little tiny half sandwich they serve with salad the problem is the employees and manager don't even understand there own menu. Foods not bad if you actually get what you order.

2 hours to get a sandwich to go. Trash cans over full. No cook on shift. I've seen monkey house feces fights more organized than this place. Avoid unless your looking to wait for mediocre trendy menu. The only reason they got a second start was the place, other than the over flowing trash cans, was relatively clean.

Amazing. All of the sandwiches are flavorful and the soups are on point! The Bahama Buck's opening crew will stop by every time we are in town! Thanks for bringing the Smiling Moose to Texas!
